The Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins have joined forces to encourage giving to help those in their spring training community through the SWFL Hurricane Irma Relief Fund.
Friends and fans are asked to give to help those affected by Hurricane Irma in the aftermath of the catastrophic Category 4 storm. Hurricane Irma made a direct hit on Sunday, September 10 making landfall in Lee and Collier Counties which is the spring training home to both teams.
100% of the donations will be tax deductible and distributed locally in Southwest Florida through the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades & Okeechobee, the Community Foundation of Collier County, the United Way of Collier County, the Charlotte County Community Foundation, the United Way of Charlotte County and other nonprofit partners in the 5-county region. You will have the option to select the specific county if you wish to direct your donations.
The Red Sox Twins Relief Fund is administered by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, no fees.
