Arts and Culture Grants

The City of Fort Myers recognizes the importance of the arts to the cultural, educational, and economic well-being of its diverse population.  In order to enhance access by all its residents to a full range of cultural experiences, the City of Fort Myers provides funding for arts and cultural programs, administered by the City of Fort Myers Public Art Committee.

Grant Types

Individual Artists

Grants will be available for individuals making a meaningful contribution to the arts and culture of the City.  Artist must live or work within corporate limits of the City of Fort Myers or create/perform work that will make a meaningful contribution to the arts and culture of the City of Fort Myers.  The Maximum funding for each arts and culture grant is $2,500 for individual artists.

Organizations

Grants will be available organizations making a meaningful contribution to the arts and culture of the City. The grant calls for non-profit organizations that produce and/or present a cultural program or festival within the City of Fort Myers’ corporate limits.

There are two types of grants offered for organizations:

  • Operating Grants, with a maximum grant amount of $10,000
  • Project and Program Grants, with a maximum grant amount of $5,000
